The storm warning has been extended for another day: weather in Cyprus on April 9th
According to the Department of Meteorology of the Republic of Cyprus, on Tuesday, April 9th, a low-pressure system is concentrated in the south of the island, slowly moving eastward and will affect the region until this evening.
Today, in the first half of the day, the weather will be cloudy, with local showers and isolated thunderstorms.
It is also expected that hail will fall during the thunderstorm. According to the meteorological forecast, during the day, the air temperature will rise to 22°C in the inland areas, on the southern and eastern coasts, up to 21 degrees on the rest of the coast, and up to 10°C in mountainous areas.
By evening, variable cloudiness and overcast weather are expected, with possible isolated rains, mainly along the coast. The air temperature will drop to about 11°C in inland areas, to 13 degrees on the coast, and to 3°C in mountainous areas, where frosts may occur in some places.
It is expected that in the coming days, the air temperature will gradually rise significantly, remaining significantly above average climatic values.
