Printing error in bills: 1,789 incorrect municipal notices in Pervolia, Larnaca
Hundreds of homeowners in Pervolia, Larnaca received inflated municipal tax bills issued on November 27, 2025, and contacted the Dromolaxia – Meneou municipality for clarifications.
The amounts reached five to six thousand euros for garbage collection and other municipal fees. Citizens who contacted the administration learned that the overcharges resulted from a printing error.
Municipal Secretary Kyriakos Sotiriou told the publication that this was a typographical error affecting some taxpayers in the Pervolia municipal district. Out of 4,279 mailed notices, the error was found in 1,789 bills.
The problem only affected the printed version of the documents; payments via JCC and bank transfers were not impacted. According to a municipal representative, the bills have been reissued and will be sent out again shortly.
For residents, this means that electronic and bank payments remain correct, and those who received a paper bill with an inflated amount should expect a corrected notice from the municipality.
