Cyclone Coral Moves Away: Cyprus Weather Forecast for February 26
According to the Meteorology Department of the Republic of Cyprus, moderate high pressure will settle over the region on Wednesday, February 26, as the cold cyclone Coral finally moves away.
The morning will bring partly cloudy skies, but scattered showers are possible in the afternoon, mainly over the mountains. Higher elevations may see a bit of light snowfall.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach around 15°C inland, 16°C along the coast, and 5°C in the mountains, where frost remains a concern, especially in the early morning hours.
Tonight, conditions will remain partly cloudy. Temperatures will drop to about 4°C inland, 6°C along the coast, and 0°C in the mountains, with frost lingering in some areas.
As of this report, the snow depth at Chionistra was 2 cm.
Looking ahead to Thursday, mostly clear skies are expected, though some areas may see increased cloud cover, bringing occasional showers or sleet, particularly in the mountains.
Temperatures will gradually rise in the coming days, approaching seasonal averages by the weekend.
