Earthquake Recorded Off the Coast of Cyprus
An earthquake measuring approximately 4.0 on the Richter scale struck the sea near the coast of Cyprus late last night, with tremors reported near Limassol.

According to the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), the earthquake occurred at 11:23 PM on the southern coast, about 28 kilometers southeast of Limassol. The quake’s epicenter was located at a depth of approximately 33 kilometers, with a reported magnitude of 3.9. No casualties or structural damage have been reported.

Last weekend, a separate earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 struck the Mediterranean Sea near Antalya. The tremors from that event were felt across many regions of Cyprus.
