At Larnaca Airport, a cocaine swallower was caught
Over the weekend, a woman was detained at Larnaca Airport for transporting drugs directly in her stomach.
Before departing to the island, she swallowed a packet of cocaine.
According to the police press service, the 24-year-old woman was detained last Sunday. Upon arrival at Larnaca Airport, the police searched the passenger's luggage. During the inspection, the police found nothing incriminating in her luggage; however, the woman admitted that she had swallowed packets of cocaine before traveling to Cyprus.
After her candid confession, the detained traveler was taken for an X-ray at Larnaca General Hospital, where it was found that she had several foreign objects in her stomach. The woman has been arrested for 8 days for further investigation.
