Akamas to Host Its First Fish Festival!
The newly formed municipality of Akamas in Cyprus is preparing to host its very first Fish Festival. The event will take place on Sunday, May 18, at the Agios Georgios harbor in Peyia.
Festivities will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue late into the evening.
Visitors will be treated to freshly prepared fish dishes, offered free of charge and cooked by renowned chef Christos Christodoulou. Adding to the festive atmosphere, popular Greek singer Giorgos Tsalikis will take the stage for a live performance.
The program will also feature welcome speeches by Deputy Minister of Tourism Kostas Koumis and Akamas Mayor Marinos Lambrou. Dance performances by local Paphos dance schools, music by DJs, and a variety of children’s entertainment will round out the day’s celebrations.
