Projects worth €20 million planned in Aradippou, Kellia, and Troulloi
Aradippou Mayor Christodoulos Partou announced that the municipality is preparing to implement three major projects with a total cost of about €20 million in the areas of Aradippou, Kellia, and Troulloi.
According to him, the projects have already been discussed at a meeting with Minister of Interior Constantinos Ioannou and are currently awaiting final funding approval.
The first project concerns the reconstruction of Kyriakou Matsis Avenue, an important road leading to the highway to Nicosia and Limassol. Plans include the construction of a four-lane section and further expansion of the road with the creation of parking spaces. Each phase of the project is estimated at approximately €4 million.
In Kellia, the municipality plans to build a regional football stadium costing about €10 million, which can be used by local teams.
The third project is being implemented in Troulloi — there are plans to build about 150 affordable housing units. The project is being carried out with the participation of the Cyprus Land Development Organisation (KOAG) and is aimed at developing the area and reducing pressure on urban development.
In addition, work continues in the area to improve safety on Hellas Avenue, where serious accidents have occurred previously. New traffic lights are planned to be installed at three intersections by the end of May.
