Explosion occurred near a residential building in Deryneia
An explosion occurred near a residential building in Deryneia during the night.
According to police, at around 01:30, unknown persons detonated an explosive device near the home of a 49-year-old man. The explosion damaged a garage door; no other serious damage was recorded.
Police are treating the incident as an attempt to destroy property using explosives. Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department (ΤΑΕ Αμμοχώστου) are working at the scene.
