Car set on fire in Episkopi: police investigate

The Limassol police are investigating an intentional car arson that occurred in the Episkopi area on Friday night.
The fire broke out around 02:20 when the car was parked near the owner's house. The fire service quickly extinguished the blaze, but the vehicle sustained serious damage. Due to high temperatures, the facade of the residential building was also slightly affected.
According to the police, the arson was carried out using a flammable substance. Physical evidence was collected at the scene and sent for examination.
Investigators are reviewing surveillance camera footage in the area. The car owner stated that they do not suspect any specific individuals who could be involved in the arson.
The investigation is ongoing.
