Over 6,400 Counterfeit Items Seized in Famagusta
A large cache of counterfeit goods has been discovered in the Famagusta province. In a coordinated operation between the police and customs authorities, more than 6,400 fake items were seized.
According to the police press office, during the raid, law enforcement and customs officials searched four locations within the Famagusta province. They uncovered and confiscated over 6,400 counterfeit products, the majority of which were clothing, footwear, and children's toys.
The operation, led by the Intellectual Property Theft Division of the Cybercrime Unit and the Customs Department, aimed to combat the illegal trade of goods that infringe on intellectual property rights.
The confiscated items have been handed over to the Customs Department, which is continuing its investigation into the matter.
