In Paphos, a tire repair shop in the Geroskipou area caught fire early on Thursday. According to preliminary data, the cause of the fire is suspected to be arson.
According to emergency services, firefighting efforts have been ongoing since 5:30 in the morning. Firefighters and police personnel are at the scene conducting inspections.
According to police officers, this incident increases concerns, as there has been a recent increase in cases of arson in Paphos over the last month. In particular, the day before, unknown individuals set fire to the car of a prosecutor.
Meanwhile, the Mayor of Paphos, Faidonas Faidonos, referred to the criminal incidents that have occurred in Paphos recently as "extremely alarming."
