Larnaca Police Seize Over 120 kg of Duty-Free Tobacco
Larnaca police have confiscated a large quantity of untaxed tobacco products and detained a 60-year-old man for two days as part of an ongoing investigation.
According to the police press office, the operation was carried out in coordination with the Nicosia police department. Officers stopped the suspect’s vehicle for a routine inspection in the Larnaca district, leading to the discovery of the illicit goods.
A subsequent search of a storage facility linked to the suspect uncovered a significant stockpile of duty-free tobacco.
Authorities seized:
- 3,016 packs of cigarettes
- 487 boxes of e-cigarettes
- Over 120 kg of loose tobacco
- 1 kg of shisha (hookah) tobacco
