Larnaca Enhances Dog Beach with New Amenities
The municipality of Larnaca has upgraded the Spiros dog beach with new facilities for pets.
According to the municipality's announcement, the beach now features free amenities for visitors bringing their dogs. Loungers and umbrellas have been provided at no cost. Additionally, bio-toilets and trash bins have been installed for convenience.
As part of its efforts to promote harmonious coexistence between people and animals, the municipality has developed a well-equipped dog park. This new park includes amenities designed for both dogs and their owners, and complements various animal protection measures already in place.
Spiros Beach (also known as Kasyanis Beach), located south of Larnaca Airport and east of the desalination plant, is considered one of the best dog-friendly beaches in Cyprus, featuring golden sands.
The dog park officially opened in January 2021, and admission is free.
