Driver of a stolen vehicle arrested in Larnaca after attempted escape
On Tuesday at around 16:00, police in one of the districts of Larnaca located a vehicle that had previously been reported as stolen.
During an attempted inspection, the driver tried to flee: while reversing, he collided with a police patrol vehicle. After that, the vehicle was stopped and the driver was arrested at the scene.
To stop the vehicle, police officers fired a shot from their service weapon.
An investigation into the incident is underway.
