Urban planning permits delayed in Larnaca: authorities explain reasons
Delays in issuing urban planning permits continue in Larnaca. The Local Government Organization (EOA) states that the main reasons are complex bureaucratic procedures, a large volume of submitted documents, and the operation of the “Ippodamos” system.
According to EOA, many applications are accompanied by bulky dossiers, which significantly slows down their review. Additional difficulties are caused by the digital platform “Ippodamos,” which currently does not allow documents to be processed at the required speed.
Authorities acknowledge the problem and claim that they are working on simplifying processes and speeding up permit issuance, as the delays cause dissatisfaction among both developers and city residents.
