In Limassol, Almost All Areas Affected by Fire Will Be Declared Hunting Ban Zones
The Department of Hunting and Wildlife announced that almost all areas affected by the recent fire in the mountainous part of Limassol province will be declared hunting ban zones.
According to the department, the ban will be in effect during the period for hunting migratory game, as well as during the thrush hunting season. The procedure for declaring the ban zones is expected to be completed in the coming days.
Once completed, the map of hunting-prohibited areas will be updated in the Artemis Cy app. The updated map will allow hunters and residents to see the list of areas where hunting is temporarily prohibited.
The decision was made in connection with the restoration of fire-affected areas and aims to protect wildlife and ensure safety. Residents and hunters are advised to use the official map in the Artemis Cy app to obtain current information on zone statuses and restrictions.
