Six arrests and 20 complaints during night police raids in Limassol

During the night in Limassol, Cyprus, the police conducted targeted preventive operations with increased presence at key urban points, resulting in six arrests.

According to the police, three of those arrested were detained for illegal stay in the Republic of Cyprus, and the other three for illegal employment. During the raids, more than 136 vehicles were stopped and checked, and over 53 individuals inside them were examined.

At the same time, 43 premises inspections were carried out, resulting in 20 complaints regarding operation without a license, undeclared employment, and failure to issue receipts. During traffic patrol operations, 20 complaints were recorded for various traffic violations. Police officers also conducted 48 alcohol tests on drivers.

The department notes that these actions are part of a broad and ongoing police preventive plan, which includes enhanced patrolling, targeted inspections, and operational measures in all districts to prevent crime and increase citizens’ safety.
