In Limassol, a 25-year-old man arrested in connection with motorcycle theft and assault

The Limassol court decided to remand a 25-year-old man in custody for four days. He is suspected of motorcycle theft, assault, threats, resisting police, and illegal carrying of a knife.
The incident occurred on Sunday around 16:00. The owner of the stolen motorcycle reported to the police that he noticed an unknown person pushing his vehicle. Before the police arrived, the owner and his friend attempted to detain the suspect, but he attacked them and began threatening with a knife.
After the authorities arrived, the man became aggressive again — attacking one of the witnesses and then resisting the police. The suspect was arrested, and the knife was confiscated. The investigation is ongoing.
