In Limassol, a car hit a police officer on a bicycle
In Limassol, a driver without a license hit a police officer on a bicycle. After hitting the law enforcement officer, the driver attempted to flee but was apprehended.
According to the police press service, the accident occurred yesterday during the day. During a road check, the driver, who did not have a license to operate a vehicle, was stopped. Despite being instructed to stop, the man continued driving. The officer on the bicycle attempted to stop the violator, but the driver did not stop and hit the law enforcement officer.
The injured police officer was taken to the hospital by ambulance. Fortunately, the injuries were not serious - doctors diagnosed bruises on various parts of his body.
The car driver has been detained.
