New road cameras will be installed in Limassol and Larnaca
In Cyprus, the photo enforcement system will be expanded to the provinces of Limassol and Larnaca. Starting from February 5, new traffic violation cameras will be operational here.
In total, eight new fixed cameras will be installed in four different locations in the specified areas.
In Limassol, two devices will be activated at the intersection of 28 October Avenue and Yakovos Tombazis Avenue. Additionally, two cameras will be installed on Amathus Avenue opposite the Arsinoe Hotel and at the intersection of Amathus Avenue and Ariadnis Street.
In Larnaca, two speed control devices will be installed on the Kiti - Mazotos road section.
It is noted that mobile cameras are already used for speed control in the Limassol and Larnaca districts.
For example, in the Limassol province, four stationary cameras are already operational at the intersection of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue - Nikos Pattichis Avenue and Archbishop Leontios I Avenue, and another four at the intersection of Archbishop Makarios III Avenue and Agia Zoni Avenue.
