Drunk Driver Hits Woman Twice in Limassol
On Sunday evening, Limassol police arrested a 49-year-old man who struck a woman twice while driving under the influence of alcohol.

According to the police, the incident took place last Monday, but the investigation only began over the weekend after a report was filed at the Episkopi police station.
The victim, a 34-year-old woman, explained that the conflict began after a dinner at her home with her roommate and the 49-year-old man. During the meal, the group was consuming alcohol. Afterward, the man decided to drive home.
The woman attempted to stop him from driving while intoxicated, but he started the car and ran into her while she was standing in front of it. After she fell to the ground, the driver reversed and hit her again.
The driver then fled the scene, while the woman was taken to Limassol General Hospital by ambulance.
Doctors diagnosed her with a broken right leg. She was treated and discharged the same day.
The man was arrested on Sunday around 6:30 p.m. and taken into custody.
