Homemade Bomb Explodes at Auto Repair Shop in Limassol
Police in Limassol are investigating an explosion caused by a homemade bomb at an auto repair workshop.
According to the police press office, the incident occurred late Sunday night at a workshop owned by a 43-year-old auto electrician.
The blast happened around 3 a.m., damaging the metal entrance door as well as a parked vehicle nearby.
A preliminary examination by a bomb disposal expert confirmed that the explosion was triggered by a low-power homemade device placed near the workshop’s entrance.
The area has been cordoned off, and the police continue to investigate the incident.
