Two Teenagers Arrested in Limassol for Assaulting a Courier
Limassol police have arrested two teenagers suspected of attacking a courier in Kiti. The suspects allegedly knocked the delivery driver to the ground before stealing his motorcycle and mobile phone.
According to the police, the incident occurred on February 27, 2025.
A 28-year-old foreign national working as a courier was riding his motorcycle along Afksentiou Street in Kiti when he stopped due to roadworks. At that moment, he was ambushed by six individuals. Using force, they pushed him off his motorcycle, stole his vehicle and phone, and fled the scene.
The courier did not appear to be seriously injured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution. After receiving medical attention, he was discharged.
During the investigation, police found the stolen motorcycle abandoned 500 meters from the crime scene. Further inquiries led to the identification of two suspects—a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old—who were later arrested under a court warrant.
After questioning, the teenagers were formally charged but released pending their court appearance.
