Diver Rescued After Near-Drowning Incident Off Paphos Coast
Over the weekend, a diver was rescued from the sea near Paphos after coming close to drowning during a dive.

Emergency services reported receiving a distress signal on Sunday, December 22, via the automated lifeguard station network. The report indicated that a diver was in danger after a dive in the "Bania" area off the coast of Paphos.
Thankfully, nearby bystanders were quick to act, using a life buoy to rescue the individual before the situation worsened.
The Cyprus Joint Rescue Coordination Center (KSED) has once again urged the public to follow safety instructions, respect warning signs, and avoid entering the sea during unfavorable weather conditions or in areas not designated for swimming.
