Building Partially Collapses in Nicosia: Rescuers Search the Rubble
On Sunday evening around 19:30, the fire service received a report of a partial collapse of an old building in Nicosia. The incident occurred in an open area used as a parking lot.
Firefighting units from Nicosia arrived at the scene with equipment and a rescue team. A special K9 search group was also deployed, using trained dogs to search for people under the rubble.
Rescuers conducted a thorough inspection of the building and the surrounding area, including a search beneath the debris. Following the inspection, no trapped individuals were found.
A car parked next to the building was damaged as a result of the collapse. After the operation was completed, the scene was handed over to the police for further investigation.
