Driver Arrested with 23 Kilograms of Cannabis in Nicosia
In Nicosia, police have apprehended a driver found with a substantial quantity of drugs. The individual was caught with nearly 23 kilograms of cannabis.
According to the police, the drugs were tracked and seized on Thursday afternoon. Officers detained a 29-year-old man while he was driving a vehicle.
During the arrest, the suspect’s car collided with a police vehicle, resulting in damage to both vehicles.
Upon searching the suspect’s vehicle, police discovered 20 vacuum-sealed packages of cannabis totaling 22.8 kilograms. The 29-year-old has been arrested and is expected to appear before the Nicosia District Court today for a detention hearing.
