In Nicosia, a 52-year-old biker was killed
Another fatal road accident occurred in the Republic of Cyprus. A 52-year-old man died in Nicosia while riding a motorcycle.
According to the police press service, the accident happened shortly after midnight, around 00:15, on Archangelos Avenue in Engomi. A resident of the village of Astromeritis, riding a motorcycle, collided with a curb under circumstances yet to be determined, resulting in overturning.
As a result of the motorcycle overturning, the driver was thrown onto the asphalt. The man sustained injuries incompatible with life and died at the scene before the arrival of medics.
The deceased was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where the attending physician pronounced him dead.
Investigation into the cause of the fatal accident is ongoing.
