Nicosia Police Arrest Four Suspects for Stealing Theme Park Fence
Police in Nicosia have arrested four men suspected of stealing the fence from a theme park currently under construction.
According to the police press office, the theft was reported on March 31 by the site supervisor.
The complainant stated that unknown individuals had cut and stolen approximately 500 meters of metal fencing. The value of the stolen materials has not been disclosed.
Following an investigation, police detained four suspects, aged 34, 49, 56, and 58. All have been taken into custody for further questioning.
During a search of one suspect’s home, officers recovered part of the stolen fencing.
Yesterday, the Nicosia District Court ordered a three-day detention for one of the suspects. The court is expected to rule today on pretrial measures for the remaining three.
