In Nicosia, a bomb exploded in a barbershop
In the Republic of Cyprus on Sunday evening, an explosive device detonated in a barbershop. The barbershop's property suffered significant damage.
Police representative Christos Andreou confirmed on Monday that the explosion occurred due to a homemade explosive device. According to preliminary data, the bomb was planted in front of the store.
"It is premature to determine the exact circumstances as our investigation is ongoing. However, we aim to reach conclusions by the end of today or tomorrow," said the police officer.
According to local residents, the explosion was accompanied by a characteristic loud bang. As a result of the explosion, the building's facade was almost completely destroyed. Local residents were very frightened by the incident.
