Police arrested two 38-year-old men as part of an investigation into the illegal possession and distribution of drugs.
Officers from the Drug Law Enforcement Unit (ΥΚΑΝ) conducted an operation following a tip-off and intercepted the suspects in an open area in the Nicosia district.
During the check, 353 grams of methamphetamine were found on one of the men, which, according to police, he had previously handed over to the second suspect.
Later, during a search of the second man's home, police seized an additional 953 grams of methamphetamine.
Both suspects were detained and taken into custody. They are scheduled to appear before the Nicosia District Court today for a remand hearing.
It was also established that one of the detainees was in the Republic of Cyprus illegally.
