In Paphos, a 16-year-old teenager was caught driving at twice the speed limit
In Paphos, police apprehended a 16-year-old teenager who was driving at almost 100 km/h on a road with a speed limit of 50 km/h.
According to a representative of the Traffic Department of the Main Police Department, yesterday around 20:10, members of the "Z" Road Police Team in Paphos conducted a check on Democracy Avenue and stopped a young man who was driving at twice the permitted speed on that road section.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver was a 16-year-old teenager who, due to his age, had neither a driver's license nor insurance.
The guardians of the minor and the vehicle owner were informed about the incident. Today, they will be summoned to the Paphos police station for further proceedings.
