In Paphos, Chinese New Year Celebrated: Robots Demonstrate Martial Arts

Festive events and celebrations for the Chinese New Year took place in the square in front of the Paphos Municipality. Despite a light rain that fell over the city since the evening, dozens of members of the Chinese community gathered in the city center and participated in the festivities in a cheerful atmosphere.

The attendees were welcomed by Paphos municipal councilor of Chinese origin, Alexandros Jiang. In his speech, he emphasized the good relations and close cooperation between the Chinese community and Cypriot citizens and authorities.

Particular interest among Cypriots and foreign tourists was sparked by the participation of Chinese robot developers and programmers, who staged an impressive demonstration of modern technology. The robots showcased martial arts techniques at a high technical level and even "fought" with professional athletes, leaving the audience greatly impressed by the capabilities of modern robotics.
