IN PAPHOS, A NEW BIKE RENTAL NETWORK WILL BE ESTABLISHED
On Monday, the municipality of Paphos signed a contract for the implementation of a new bike rental network managed by the company Nextbike. According to the contract, a total of 11 bike rental stations will be established in the city: six in the Kato Paphos area and five in the city center.
The contract was signed by the Mayor of Paphos, Fedon Fedonos, and Nextbike Director Neofitos Ioannou. It is valid for five years with the possibility of extension for three years.
The company will also be allowed to open two additional stations, the exact locations of which will be agreed upon later.
The cost of the contract is only 327.25 euros, and a fee of 6.54 euros per station will be charged for the creation of new bike rental stations.
A representative of the Paphos municipality told Cyprus Mail that the price was low because it was a symbolic amount, with the goal not to make money for the municipality but to encourage cycling in Paphos.
It is noted that Nextbike already manages bike rental networks in Nicosia, Limassol, and Ayia Napa.
