Eastern Linear Park project worth €9.2 million presented in Paphos

The municipalities of Paphos and Geroskipou presented the architectural plans for the large-scale environmental and social project “Creation of the Eastern Linear Park”. The presentation took place on Monday evening at the “Attikon” multifunctional center, in the presence of local authority representatives, architects, and residents of the region.
According to a statement by the Municipality of Paphos, the project covers areas of two municipalities and предусматривает the creation of a unified green and recreational space with a total length of more than 7.3 kilometers. The park will begin at the terminal roundabout of the Limassol–Paphos highway and extend to the Limnaria area in Lower Paphos.
The project includes the construction of:
- a pedestrian path with a length of 6,342 meters,
- a bicycle path with a length of 2,638 meters,
- sports and recreation areas,
- children’s playgrounds,
- a dog park,
- an open-air amphitheater,
- birdwatching observation platforms,
- parking facilities for 105 vehicles, including 10 spaces for people with disabilities.
The total budget of the project amounts to €9.2 million. The architectural and planning solutions were developed by architect Chrysanthou and the firm C.E. Chrysanthou Architects & Associates.
The implementation of the project is expected to significantly improve the quality of the urban environment, expand green areas, and create new spaces for active recreation and social life for the residents of Paphos and Geroskipou.
