Child injured by firecracker explosion in Paphos

In Paphos, a boy aged approximately 6–8 years was taken to the hospital after sustaining a hand injury from a firecracker explosion.
The incident occurred around 22:00 in the Kissonerga area, shortly after an Easter bonfire was lit in the vicinity. Under circumstances yet to be determined, a firecracker exploded near the child, resulting in a hand injury.
The child was promptly transported by car to the emergency department of Paphos General Hospital, where he received medical treatment and is undergoing examination.
Yet another such incident serves as a reminder of the serious danger of using firecrackers, especially when children are nearby.
