Road Closures in Paralimni Due to Carnival Events

The Municipality of Paralimni–Deryneia has announced temporary traffic restrictions in connection with carnival festivities.

On Saturday, February 21, from 19:00 to 21:00, Griva Digeni Street will be closed from the intersection with Tasou Markou Street to the intersection with Akropoleos Street.

Additionally, from 20:00 to 21:00, the following will be closed:

  • Archbishop Makarios III Avenue (near the PEK building),
  • The intersection of Agiou Dimitriou and Akropoleos streets (near the "Kalli" hair salon).

Agiou Georgiou Street (near Pittadji pharmacy) will remain closed until the end of the event—approximately until midnight or 01:00.

On Sunday, February 22, the following will be closed:

  • Protaras Avenue (from the EKO – ARTYMATA gas station),
  • Agiou Georgiou Street,
  • Part of Griva Digeni Street,
  • Tasou Markou Street,
  • As well as adjacent side streets along the entire parade route.

However, the section of Protaras Avenue from Filikis Eteria Street to the EKO – ARTYMATA station will remain open for residents and carnival participants.

Restrictions will be introduced gradually starting at 10:00 AM and will be fully in effect by 12:00 PM. Roads will reopen in stages following the conclusion of the parade and street cleaning.
