During the holiday season, the Cyprus Police will intensify road checks
From December 23 to January 6, the Republic of Cyprus Police will enhance checks to ensure compliance with traffic rules. "Zero tolerance" is declared for five types of violations that are major contributors to serious accidents.
The list of violations receiving special attention includes driving under the influence of alcohol or narcotics, speeding, driving without seat belts or a protective helmet, as well as reckless or careless driving, and talking on a mobile phone while driving.
