In Pervolia, homeowners were mistakenly billed €6,000 for utilities

Hundreds of property owners in Pervolia (Larnaca district) received shocking bills for waste collection and other municipal services — ranging from €5,000 to €6,000. The invoices were sent out by the Dromolaxia–Meneou municipality.
After complaints from residents, the authorities determined that the issue was caused by a technical error during printing. According to municipal secretary Kyriakos Sotiriou, of the 4,279 notices sent out, the error affected 1,789 paper bills.
