Three yachts caught fire in Larnaca port
Emergency at Larnaca port: three moored boats caught fire on Thursday afternoon, prompting the arrival of several fire engines.
According to preliminary information, a fire broke out on one of the yachts around 12:00, spreading to two more vessels. The fire service, police, and the Larnaca port administration were alerted.
Andreas Kettis, a representative of the fire service, reported that fiberglass yachts were on fire in the port. Upon the arrival of two fire trucks at the harbor, one of the blazing boats was successfully extinguished.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
