Over 200 kg of Drugs Seized in Strovolos
In Nicosia, officers from the Drug Squad (YKAN) conducted a major operation in the Strovolos district.
During searches of two storage rooms in a residential building, large quantities of narcotics were discovered and seized. According to police, over 150 kilograms of cannabis and more than 50 kilograms of cocaine have been counted so far. The tallying process is ongoing.
In addition to the drugs, authorities seized 11,640 firecrackers, three pistols (one of which is a replica), two improvised explosive devices, over 30 rounds of ammunition, and €12,765 in cash.
Two men, aged 34 and 26, have been detained and remanded in custody to assist with the investigation.
