Prison Guard's Car Exploded in Strovolos
An explosion occurred in Nicosia. An explosive device detonated in the car of a Central Prison guard.
According to the police press service, the bomb in the prison guard's car went off in the Strovolos area around 2:30 AM.
Preliminary reports indicate that the vehicle was involved in several searches conducted inside the penitentiary to find drugs and mobile phones during police raids.
It is also noted that about two weeks ago, an explosive device was found in this officer's car, which fortunately did not detonate at that time.
