In an abandoned house in Limassol, the body of a homeless Russian woman was found
The Republic of Cyprus Police are investigating the death of a woman found dead in an abandoned house in the Neapolis area of Limassol. It has been determined that the body belongs to a homeless 45-year-old Russian citizen.
According to local media reports, the corpse was discovered on Saturday evening, around 22:00, by another homeless foreigner who was using the abandoned building as a shelter.
He immediately reported the deceased woman to the police. Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene established that death likely occurred several hours before the body was discovered. Bottles of alcohol were found near the deceased woman.
According to police sources, there were no signs of violent death on the body.
The cause of the Russian woman's death will be determined after an autopsy.
It is currently unclear how long the woman had been homeless and whether she sought assistance from authorities.
