110 Palm Trees Planted Along Larnaca’s Beaches
The Larnaca Municipality and the Tourism Board have announced the planting of 110 palm trees along the promenade of Kastella Beach in Oroklini. This initiative is aimed at making Larnaca’s beaches more attractive by enhancing their visual appeal and giving them a competitive edge.
The newly planted trees are all of the Washingtonia variety—the same species found along Larnaca’s iconic Finikoudes Promenade. The project, which has been gradually rolled out over the past seven years, is supported by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and has significantly improved the overall image of the coastline.
Particular attention has been given to Oroklini, which, according to the board, is expected to become the greenest beach in Cyprus in the near future.
