Explosion near football referee’s home: police searching for attackers
On the evening of December 24, unknown individuals attacked the home of a 36-year-old football referee. The incident occurred at around 22:25.

According to police, a low-power improvised explosive device was detonated at the entrance to the residence. Preliminary findings indicate that a firework combined with a flammable liquid was used. As a result of the explosion, glass elements of the veranda and part of the property were damaged, but no one was injured.
Investigators believe that two people were involved in the attack — after the incident they fled the scene on a motorcycle. The homeowner has already given a statement and reported that he had not previously received threats and was not involved in any conflicts.
Nevertheless, police are considering various versions, including a possible connection between the incident and his professional activity: the man works as a football referee and officiates matches in lower divisions. As part of the investigation, the game he refereed last week is also being examined.
