Over 3,100 Illegal Immigrants Deported from Cyprus in First Three Months of 2025
The Cyprus Police carried out another large-scale operation this past weekend to identify third-country nationals living illegally on the island. More than 50 offenders were arrested in just one day. Since the beginning of 2025, a total of 3,100 illegal immigrants have been deported from Cyprus.
During yesterday’s nationwide raid, 51 third-country nationals were apprehended, all of whom were residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
The police have already initiated the repatriation of ten individuals, while preparations are underway to deport the remaining 41 detainees, in cooperation with other relevant authorities.
Since the start of the year, 3,105 third-country nationals who were unlawfully residing in Cyprus have been either deported or repatriated. This is an increase compared to the same period last year, when 2,890 individuals were repatriated.
The police continue their daily efforts to identify and remove illegal immigrants from Cyprus.
