COVID-19 Cases Decline in Cyprus
COVID-19 and gastroenteritis cases in Cyprus are on the decline. The peak of the outbreak occurred at the end of July, and the situation has been improving since the beginning of August.
Mary Avraamidou, Vice President of the Society of Family and Personal Physicians, discussed the current situation with AlphaNewsLive.
According to Avraamidou, there was a surge in COVID-19 cases and several other viruses causing gastroenteritis, diarrhea, vomiting, and fever at the end of July. However, in recent days, the number of cases has significantly decreased.
"It appears that the peak of the illness occurred at the end of July, and now it is starting to decline," Avraamidou noted.
Despite the improving situation, Avraamidou urged citizens to remain cautious and take preventive measures, especially during hot weather.
