Residents and visitors of Cyprus are invited to the traditional Olive Tree Festival
In the village of Anglisides, located in the Larnaca district in southern Cyprus, a vibrant cultural event will take place on September 12, 2025 – the Olive Tree Festival. The event is organized by the Anglisides Cultural Society and will be held on the grounds of the primary school at Griva Digeni Street. Entrance is free for everyone.
The festival will start at 18:00 and continue until 21:00, offering guests three hours of a rich program and the opportunity to explore the traditions of the region.
Visitors can enjoy exhibitions, workshops, tastings, music, and dance. The main theme is the olive — a symbol of Cypriot culture, inspiration for art, and an important element of local cuisine.
For children, workshops are prepared on making dough for olive pies, creating clay figurines, and drawing olive-themed pictures. All participants can receive small souvenirs and try products based on olives and olive oil. Traditional Cypriot dishes will also be served. A photo zone will be available at the festival for memorable pictures.
The musical and dance program will be provided by the groups of the Anglisides Cultural Society, performing live Greek songs and folk dances.
