Cyprus Residents Amazed by Elon Musk’s Satellites
On the evening of May 21, people in Cyprus were surprised to spot a string of lights moving across the night sky. Social media quickly filled with photos and videos showing what looked like a row of “stars” traveling in formation, sparking curiosity about their origin.
According to AlphaNews, these images began circulating online the same evening. Several locals shared footage capturing a perfectly aligned series of glowing lights that appeared to be moving steadily.
Local authorities moved swiftly to reassure residents, explaining that the lights were satellites from SpaceX’s Starlink constellation, launched by Elon Musk. These satellites occasionally become visible as they pass over the island at night.
