The company was established in 1986 as REEBOK CYPRUS to represent the Reebok brand in Cyprus. In 1992, it was renamed AM PAPAKYRIAKOU LTD. Since then, the company’s portfolio has continuously expanded by adding globally recognized brands such as Champion (1994), Speedo (1999), ASICS (2009), Quiksilver (2011), and others. At the same time, the company developed a retail network, opening the largest chain of sports stores in Cyprus — Famous Sports (21 stores in total), and in 2000, the premium children’s store chain Famous Friends.
