September 4th: Showers and Thunderstorms to Continue in Northern Cyprus
The TRNC Meteorological Department reports that on Wednesday, September 4th, low-pressure systems and cool, moist air in the upper atmosphere will influence the region. As a result, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms likely.
Temperatures will remain within the seasonal average, ranging between 29-35°C across most of the country. Alevkaya will experience slightly cooler temperatures, dipping below 30°C. According to weather maps, the central regions and the Karpas Peninsula are expected to receive the most rainfall.
A strong southwesterly wind is forecast, but no storms are expected today.
Two weather warnings are still in effect in Northern Cyprus. The risk of wildfires remains high, and the ultraviolet radiation level is also elevated. It’s advised not to stay in direct sunlight for more than 15 minutes, particularly between 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM, without taking appropriate precautions.

- Eastern Coast: Famagusta – 34°C, İskele – 34°C
- Karpas: Yenerenköy – 32°C
